Welcome to Field Notes!
In mid July 2024 I was invited to go on a trip to Nacaome, Honduras together with The Bridge Community Church. This was a mission trip with the goal of building a house for a family in a small mountain community north of Nacaome, and supporting a school there.
Having no prior connection to Honduras, I found the land and the people there fascinating. The work was intense in the humidity and heat, but I developed a deep sense of pride by helping these people I hardly knew.
This film was shot with a GoPro Hero 10 Black. I also brought my DSLR camera and had some interesting challenges trying to capture photos while bouncing in the back of a school bus traveling on a dirt road in the mountains.
