Thank you! The light was outstanding, but most of it came about in the most unexpected ways. It was one of those days where every moment seemed to reveal a new surprise!
Your very last shot is my favorite! I love the layers. Your post is also fantastic. Your descriptions make me feel like I'm hiking along with you. Thank you for sharing!
The second to last pic of the orange sun is my favorite of this bunch. But as usual, all of them are beautiful 😍
To answer your question, the entire email did properly come through. The only difference I'm noticing between the email and the app version, in email the gallery images don't seem to click-to-enlarge and they appear side by side which makes them smaller. In the app all images are showing larger and stacked which makes them easier to view.
Curious! As I create the post, the 'photo grid' results in square cropped photos. Three of them will form a line and 4 will make a square of squares, if that makes sense. I knew they wouldn't 'click to enlarge' in email, but I thought they'd be laid out the same. I just checked the account app and they are all in vertical in-line sequence. If that makes them easier to view, then I guess it's ok, but not at all how I intended. The web version seems closest to what I want to present. I'll have to consider this going forward. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
They are laid out in grid style, they're just really small that way in email. But not in the app. They're stacked (and larger) in the app which made for much easier viewing.
Thanks for this post and amazing photos. I love hiking the Art Lobe trail and you captured the best of it.
Looks like you had some fantastic dramatic light for this trip. Beautiful pics!
Thank you John! Its a magical place and I'm glad to hear that I was able to convey some of some of its impact!

Thank you so much! I'm trying to channel my inner Anthony Bourdain voice as I write these! 😂
Wow - what amazing light! Beautiful shots as always.
Thanks! The light was constantly changing. It really made me focus and pay attention to all of the surroundings!
Yeah, I love the way light draws the eye to different parts of the landscape.

I'll have to send myself a test email next time. I selected the smart notifications in the app a while back and haven't been getting the emails.
You know there's an option to send yourself a test before publishing, right? If not, let me know and I'll tell you where to find it.
Yeah, I need to do that more often. I always forget about it looking different on each location it gets sent to.
There is nothing like sitting in the dark, in the wild, to provide some perspective. Beautiful words and images Erik
Thank you. There is truth in the silence and solitude.
