Your opening sentence was my version of heaven! Laying in a tent listening to rain sounds dreamy. And all these waterfall pics are my favorite! I'll never not love how the water looks so smooth and veil-like.
That sound is nice to wake up to! At least until I realized I'd have to get out into it. Even better was the sound of the rain on the tin roof on the shelter that I got to, where I was able to spread out and dry out and take a moment.
Lovely photos Erik, I particularly like the atmosphere of the misty shots at the end. It sounds like you had a very enjoyable trip.
The trip was short, but a good one. I love the misty photos, too, but sometimes in this corner of the world they are hard to come by!
Beautifully written Erik, I feel as if I walked with you. (Except I'm dry😂).
Hahaha! I got to dry out when I got back to the truck! Thanks for reading!
Which is the biggest grey ghost, the poncho or the mist? 💭
I suppose the mist is more beautiful, and your poncho more practical!
Ooo! Great question! Beautiful vs practical, true. I'd say the poncho is my PERSONAL ghost, whereas the mist is the UNIVERSAL ghost of time!
If that's a great question, you've given an excellent answer! :)

Yeah unbundling from bed isn't easy on rainy days in general but knowing you have to go outside is a spoiler lol
At least it wasn't very cold. It's the little things, right? 😁
Rain and waterfalls…..what more can we ask for? Enjoyed your post and the waterfall photography.
It's a good combo, isn't it? The wet together with a circular polarizing filter really makes colors pop!
Beautiful moody images Erik - sounds like a lovely hike.
Thanks! Yes, it turned out to be an excellent day!
