Printing photos is where they really come alive. It can be expensive, and I’ve had several that turned out awful, but it is very rewarding. Thanks Kristi!
It is amazing how an image can take you back to a moment Erik. Beautifully described, I could imagine being right there. (BTW, I also really love the layers in the first image).
Beautiful images Erik. Your book mark shot is stunning but I also love the other more subtle shots especially the rays of light shining across the trees.
The book mark is a great idea btw and one I should perhaps look into. I would buy one if I didn't live so far away 🙂
Thanks Gill, the light that evening was special! I've also printed the pano shot with the beam of light coming from the right to light up a small patch of land.
You should definitely look into making bookmarks. For me they were very inexpensive when I had a bunch of them printed. Also, I'm sending them in regular letters in the mail. With the US Postal Service I can send them to any country in the world for just $1.65, so I'm not charging any extra for shipping/mailing.
Those are STUNNING photos. Which I think I say every time, but still.
It was also really cool how you shared some of the background behind the trip..how you almost didnt go because of your mom....etc...but then you ended up capturing those pictures anyway. Makes it seem extra sweet.
I relate deeply to how certain moments imprint themselves into us permanently... especially out in wild places, with life swirling around us. Your story beautifully captures how powerful these memories can be. And yes, that sunset is absolutely bookmark-worthy. Keep them coming!
That is a fantastic photo. The detail of the tent flapping in the breeze is easy to place in the background too.
Thank you so much, Tim!
Amazing image Erik! I just bought your bookmark. Thank you for sharing the moment with us!
Thank you very much Laura! I’ll put it in the mail first thing tomorrow.
I'm glad I asked for two of your bookmarks! Such a stunning shot. I know what it's like to have a particular image of nature etched into your mind.
I also love that you made it into a canvas. I've done that with one of my favorite photos as well. It's hanging in yoga room ❤️

The ridges of receding mountains! I love seeing those and the light that evening highlighted them perfectly. Thank you James!

I like how you phrase that- with life swirling around us. It’s so true! Thanks Freda!
Stunning.
Thanks Holly!
