For me personally, 12 minutes was not too long at all. It's the perfect amount of time to sit down, relax and thoroughly enjoy it with a coffee. I mean, that's what we're supposed to do on a lazy Sunday.
My favorite in this video are the stone buildings and the layered mountains. They look so inviting.
As usual, thank you for ALL the time and effort you invest in taking us along on your journeys.
That's good to know as a benchmark. Thanks. Obviously, the length of future films will vary, but I like having an idea of how long before people tune out or just don't have time for.
The buildings are very interesting. They were part of a government employment initiative during the great depression, almost 100 years ago. The CCC actually built some of the trails and many other outdoors destinations around here.
I liked the video a lot! I felt like I was hiking through the mountains. The length of the video and the music were perfect. I’m sure the videos are more work but I’m looking forward to more videos in the future!
Thanks! Picking the music is surprisingly difficult. The options are very limited from the YouTube audio library, but now I've found Pixabay, which helps.
Every film gets a little easier because I have a better idea of what I'm doing. I'm looking forward to making more! I wonder how many extra miles I walk just setting up the camera for the shots? 😂
I thoroughly enjoyed the video Erik. 12 min is a nice length I think although I’ll be honest, I didn’t want it to end!
Blood Mountain looks to be a beautiful location, I can see why you hike and take photos there. Keep it up, I look forward to the next one.
Haha! Good to know about the length! Thanks!

Aw neat, what an interesting factoid!
On another note, I just sent you an email from the contact page on your website. Let me know if you got it.
Checking now ....yep, got it!

That was my exact thoughts during the whole thing! You’re definitely committed to all the shots!
That was really lovely 🥰 so interesting to see a part of the world I’m unlikely to get to in person, and so beautifully shot too.
I thought you chose the music really well too, almost like it was matching the light quality or the clouds. 😍
I’m impressed by just how colourful it was, even for the dead of winter! (But it made me chilly just watching you out in the cold without a hat on! 🫣)
Thank you so much! I wore a hat a lot, but it did get pretty warm while I was hiking! 😁
Great video. The meal in the dark brought back memories of a similar situation.
I find it profound how, in these situations, the most basic tasks stand out and have impact.
