I really enjoyed last weeks post Erik and this film compliments it perfectly. The location looks amazing and I really enjoyed your filming and music choices.

I wish I could get into video making as I really think it adds an extra dimension to your work. I am not sure I have the patience to learn though 😆

The learning curve is steep in the beginning! The actual filming with a GoPro is pretty straightforward, but it has limitations. Next step is to try some video with the DSLR, I haven't tried that yet. Thanks!

We camp there a few times per year. It's one of the most beautiful places in the panhandle. It's so cool that black bears are making a comeback in the area, too.

I was really surprised to see the bear signs. The area just doesn't seem large enough to support a population of them, but it's great that they're there! I can't wait to go back!

I gotta say, for as much as I loooooove the mountains and living so close to them...WATER is definitely my spirit animal. That opening scene in your video brought peace to my entire being! I miss the ocean. Thank you for this, Erik!

I'm so glad you liked it! I'm (obvious by now) much more of a mountain person, but the beach is wonderful, too! I bet Jamaica's are top notch!

Oh my god, I could write a thesis on beach and water moments in Jamaica. Here's one of my all-time favs though...I have NEVER in my life been this close to wild dolphins. Even a shitty camera person (me) could make this look good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV-dvzP-zro

That's incredible!! That water is SO blue! I was in a kayak about 20 yards from shore on St George Island, Florida one time when some dolphins got pretty close. My wife started hyperventilating and we had to go back to land! 😂

Lol no way!!! Hyperventilating in a good way or a bad way??

It is pretty incredible to see if you're born and raised in a landlocked city. I loved it.

Lol! In a bad way! She almost drowned as a kid and is afraid of water. I had to coax her onto the kayak to begin with!!

I really like how this highlights some of the landscapes and topography of Florida that aren't the typical sandy beaches that most people think of.

Yes, this park really isn't even that big and it varied from inland pine forest to sandy dunes and then the beach. Makes me want to explore more parts of Florida that aren't the norm. Thanks Jenna!

I have to go to New Jersey this weekend - somewhere I wouldn't normally take my camera with me. But maybe I'll take the same mindset you took to Florida and see if I can find some hidden spots!

Cool! I've heard the New Jersey Pine Barrens are interesting, if you have a chance to get there, but I've never been myself.

Ha, I was just reading about the Pine Barrens last night! It's a bit far from where I'll be in the NYC area, but it looks seriously cool and possibly worth renting a car for the day.

I'm sure there are other, closer areas. Can't wait to hear what you find!
