This was such a good piece of writing! Gripping from the start because of all the unfortunate circumstances you've experienced. And these photos of flowers are so beautiful. Very delicate and pure. Wildflowers are such worthy subjects 💓

We might be on opposite sides of the world, but my thoughts are with you as the impacts from successive storms add up. Everywhere around the world, communities are being impacted by increasing concurrent and compounding emergencies. And great photos, I was right there with you as the sun rose!

...wellp. I remember you mentioning that theu-hike to me..(or maybe it was in a note or something) and then rereading about it here gave me mild chills. It SURE IS a good thing you chose to cancel that trip....missing a date with the reaper indeed!!
