Field Notes IV.XXV: A few selected photos from those now available in my print store

Welcome to Field Notes!

Its freaking hot you guys! Temperatures are pushing 100 degrees in the afternoons and there’s been no rain for a couple of weeks. 04:30 am workouts still leave me drenched like I’ve climbed out of a pool, only to shower off and instantly be sweating again. And only a few of you will appreciate this, but feeling rolls of sweat dribbling down your torso across patches of heat rash inflamed skin underneath a bulletproof vest while trying to direct traffic around an accident scene produces an almost ecstatic level of mental anguish.

I have a mental list of places I’d like to photograph next. Waterfalls, mountaintops, both unexplored places and those familiar. They’re going to have to wait until the weather becomes less hell-bent on heat and more interesting.

Meanwhile, I’ve been unapologetically barricaded indoors in my free time. So, for the past week I’ve worked on re-vamping a site to make prints of my photos available. I’m not telling you that you need to purchase anything. I’m just saying that if you’re looking at that blank space on your wall and thinking about how much you absolutely love the Southeast US with its mountains and rivers and animals… there are options. Or, if your thinking how an image of the essence of wildness would completely fill that void of space in your life… then just maybe take a look at this site and consider the possibilities.

Guys, in photography I haven’t found anywhere that lays it out to tell me ‘this is how it works.’ It’s basically a free-for-all and I’m figuring it out entirely on my own. If you do use this site to get a print, please give me some feedback. This is all a work-in-progress and the only goal is to offer something of value.

Below are a few highlight photos that are now available as prints in various formats. The print store has many more available, and there are tabs at the top to give context of the various US states they were captured in. Hopefully that gives a more meaningful point of reference.

I’m not going to overwhelm you all from now on with pleas to purchase anything. This is simply a new option available that will hopefully be beneficial to everyone. Let me know what you think!
